Filter Housing Applications

ARBO filter housings are ideally suited for applications requiring the efficient removal of organic and inorganic particles from corrosive liquids, ensuring maximum filtration performance.

Plastic Filter Housings

ARBO filter housings are manufactured from solid polypropylene (PP), making them suitable for a wide range of applications. There is no metal-to-metal contact, while all reinforcing components are made from SS316 stainless steel.

For highly abrasive liquids with a high solids content, selected housing components are available in high molecular weight polyethylene (HMPE). For highly corrosive media at elevated temperatures, filter housings can also be supplied in PVDF. Bag filter housings are available in PVC-CAW for liquids containing high concentrations of chlorine.

To provide the optimum solution for every customer-specific filtration requirement, several different filter systems are available.

Each system offers its own unique advantages. In general, we offer the following systems, which are described in more detail below:

• Model IC => for wound filter cartridges only
• Model MP => equipped with a separate filter element holder for cartridges or filter plates
• Model HD => heavy-duty filter for operating pressures up to 6 bar
• Model FIB => for filter bags
• Model KO => for activated carbon filtration

Filter Housing Safety

The system is designed to ensure completely bypass-free filtration. The filter housing lid is fitted with robust swing bolts and integrated handles, eliminating loose parts. The transparent lid allows easy inspection for trapped air, ensuring optimum utilization of the filter elements. A vent valve is fitted as standard, while the rotating diaphragm pressure gauge provides a clear indication of filter loading.
