Operating Principle
Bearing Housing Design – No Foot Bearing, Yet Greater Immersion Depth!
This series offers all the advantages of the SumPro range while providing a greater immersion depth, allowing the pump to start at a lower liquid level and enabling earlier pump operation.
The pump is connected to a standard IEC motor by means of a bearing housing assembly and a flexible coupling. Additional advantages of this design include:
- Re-greasable bearings
- Vapor seal between the pump and bearing housing assembly
- Full integration with the SumPro Compact series, ensuring short delivery times
- A wider choice of materials than the previous DO-TS-VDS-L series, providing greater application flexibility
- Standard IEC motors from 1.1 to 7.5 kW (also available in ATEX Zone II versions)
Applications
Suitable for all transfer and circulation applications involving corrosive liquids, including media containing a high concentration of solids or slurries with medium viscosity. This pump series is equipped with a modern semi-open impeller that is mounted on the shaft independently of the direction of rotation.
Materials
PPH is the standard material, providing excellent chemical resistance and suitability for a wide range of applications. For highly abrasive liquids with a high solids content, impellers can be manufactured from High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMPE) on request.
For highly corrosive acid mixtures at elevated temperatures, the pump can also be supplied in solid PVDF.
