Operating Principle
This series is also of the close-coupled design. Due to the higher power ratings, the pump bracket is manufactured from metal to provide maximum stability. In this compact construction, the pump shaft is rigidly connected to the motor shaft, eliminating the need for a separate bearing housing and flexible coupling. As a result, the number of wear parts is significantly lower than in conventional long-coupled pumps. The pump does not require alignment with the motor, making maintenance simple and reducing the risk of vibration and premature failure.
Optionally available mounted on a plastic or steel baseplate.
Applications
Suitable for all transfer and circulation applications involving corrosive and even highly viscous liquids while maintaining maximum efficiency. This pump series is equipped with the latest semi-open impeller featuring pressure compensation. The impeller is mounted on the shaft independently of the direction of rotation.
From model 80-250-3D onwards, a closed impeller is supplied as standard to achieve higher efficiency.
Materials
The standard material is PPH, making the pump suitable for most applications. For highly abrasive liquids with a high solids content, impellers and pump casing components are available on request in high molecular weight polyethylene (HMPE). For highly corrosive liquid mixtures at elevated temperatures, pumps manufactured entirely from PVDF or pure PTFE are available.
