Operating Principle
Thanks to a foot bearing made of aluminum oxide and PTFE, these pumps can accommodate much longer shafts, allowing the impeller to be positioned up to 2000 mm below the mounting plate.
The pumps are equipped with a semi-open impeller and are capable of handling liquids containing suspended solids. An optional suction strainer is available to prevent larger particles from entering the pump.
By extending the suction pipe, even deeper pits or tanks can be emptied. Once the pump has been primed and started, the liquid level may drop below the impeller.
Applications
For applications where the immersion depth of the compact SumPro or the DO-L bearing housing version is insufficient to reach the required liquid level, the L-FB version provides the ideal solution.
Materials
Polypropylene (PP) is suitable for most applications. For pumping concentrated chemicals and/or operation at elevated temperatures, all wetted components are manufactured from PVDF.
