As described above for the BG2-3 series the new seal configuration offers for the larger pump models of the BG 4 and 5 an increased system pressure to 6 bar. This due to the positive balancing of the seal. For applications with poor suction conditions (self-priming pumps, bad NPSHa, too small suction pipe diameters etc) we now can apply impellers without the pressure release bores.

For the entire SealPro range the new material SSIC with graphite filler is now available as an option. (SSICG)

• Better chemical resistance, specially with very corrosive alkaline and etching acids.
• Dry running abilities are improved by using graphite filler in the SSIC/SSICG
• Less wear in situations with chapped liquids.
• 100% exchangeable with the old parts. This option can even be used in existing pump models with impellers provided with pressure release bores.

ARBO is constantly improving pump variants to meet specific duty points as close as possible.
The catalogue in PumpFlo is updated and you will notice also the new option to select Stainless Steel Magnetic driven pumps.

The number of types has expanded and we made a split between the plastic – and Stainless Steel variants of the same pump models. They are called “Stainless” which does not mean that they are only available in standard Stainless Steel qualities. On request also high grade Stainless, like Hastelloy is available

Within this series a number of variants is now available for 2900 min-1. Heavy duty bearing assemblies are developed which makes the use of higher motor powers possible.

In the product portfolio and PumpFlo a new VX variant is available.
VX means Vortex, indicating that the pump has a vortex housing and a turbine impeller. This combination makes it possible to pump liquids with solids up to 32 mm without problem!

The capacity curves are quite similar to the existing types, but the consequence of larger particle ability is a fractional lower efficiency.  
Basically the Vortex execution is available on all ARBO pump series.

The DW series is superseded entirely by the SumPro series. In the new documentation only the new models will be presented and quoted for.
For after sales on existing projects we have 100% exchangeable types available. As an example:

for the DO-100-DW we offer the DO-32-125
for the DO-300/400 we offer the DO-50-125.
 
Between the SumPro and HD series there was a gap which now has been filled with the new SumPro DO 40-160 and DO-50-160 models which can be equipped with motors up to 5,5 KW max. This expansion in the SumPro makes smaller ranges in the HD series obsolete.
For the DO-HD new IE2 and IE3 motors are available in 5,5 and 7,5 KW with extended shafts.

Tip: when replacement  pumps are required for older pump models you have to realise that these pumps have evaluated over time in efficiency. So a 1:1 exchange will probably lead to a much higher capacity than expected with the risk of too high suction line velocities etc. We recommend to always recalculate new replacement pumps against the actual process requirements. Please contact us in case of doubt. Calculate with 1 m/sec max suction line speed to be on the safe side.

Our new general catalog of ARBO is ready in 3 languages: EN-DE and NL.
The new design incorporates the update of technical details and added shipping information, like weights and box sizes. In printed format we only offer the complete set*) of documentation. Every single brochure is available in digital format in low resolution via the website.

In April we signed a distributor contract with Tapflo Danmark SpA. Flemming Ravn Sorensen is co-owner of this company within the Tapflo Group and very experienced in the sales of pumps.

In the new documentation we do not mention in general old models any longer. In the sealless immersible product range (3.0) the DO-DW series has been replaced and is part of the SumPro product range. There is still a limited amount of stock of parts to support the after sales.
